One ep left...
I have one episode left of Black Sails, and I've been putting off watching it for the last week. Because when I watch it, then the season is finished and I have to wait who knows how long until the next season. But as long as I still have something left to watch, it's not over!
Eight episodes. Ugh. Not enough. Why must good things always come in small packages?
I tell you what's not a small package, and that's Captain Vane. Damn. Man is hung like a frickin' horse. Yay for equal-opportunity full-frontal nudity! That really ought to be on a bumper sticker, don't you think?
I really love the moral ambiguity of this show. I can't help but like Flint and Vane and Eleanor, and then they go and do something horrible and I'm reminded that they're not good guys, and I find myself repulsed. And then in five minutes I find myself liking them again. And I can't figure whose side I'm supposed to be on, because they're all awful people and yet I sort of want them all to win.
The only character I don't like is John Silver, who's just a self-interested, slimy, smarmy creep. And yet I'm assuming he's sort of set up to be the 'heartthrob' of the show.
