Not gonna lie, I teared up watching this...
Click to viewIf I was American I'd vote for Obama. It fascinates me how polarised American politics is, how different America is to so much of the rest of the Western world. Issues that dominate politics in the States are almost non-issues in Europe - socialised healthcare, abortion, LGBT equality, Christian fundamentalism. I'm not saying those things never arise here, or that we have it perfect, but it just doesn't compare to the vitriol in America.
If Obama was running for office in any country here in Europe, he win a landslide. Man, it wouldn't even be a contest. And yet, not in America. Land of the brave, home of the free. But only if you're a white, middle- to upper-class, Anglo-Saxon, Christian male.
