I found this while I was lurking in the internet. And since I love surveys oh so much, I decided to snag it. Teehee. ☺
What was the first fanfiction you ever read?
-♥-- I think it was a Gakuen Alice fanfic. It was back in the summer of 2006, my friend just introduced me to fanfiction at that time. I was so addicted to fanfictions ever since. :)
Where do you draw inspiration from when writing?
-♥-- From my experiences, from music and even chocolate. Teehee. Whenever I have nothing to do, I slump somewhere and bury myself in chocolates while listening to my iPod. And as if from nowhere, inspiration strikes me.
What's the highlight of your time writing fanfiction?
-♥-- I think its whenever I get feed-backs from my readers; just as everyone. But at times, I tend to get too full of myself and I disregard reviews that say the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I love getting good feed-backs. But the usual "I love it! You rule! Please update soon!" is getting tiring. Honestly, I want con-crits. I looove them. I want to be able to see where I was wrong, where I got it right and where I can improve on. I actually want to experience having a flame. I'm not bragging, but I haven't received one yet; which is quite surprising in my part. Of course, I don't completely want to get a flame, but partly I want to see how it feels.
What advice do you have for other authors?
-♥-- The best advice I can give to another author is don't think that just because you do not receive as much reviews as other authors it means you aren't a good one; reviews don't measure the capability of an author... And yet, I have that mindset. I suppose it's a hard pill to swallow, but once you do, you can focus on your work better. If you keep thinking negatively about the outcome of your story, it'll never become as good as how you want it. Also, be open to the point of view of others, if you are an egotistic type, you will not go far. A writer has to have room for harsh reviews. You cannot expect everyone to give you a good feed-back, not everyone will embrace you with open arms.
What do you think gives you your edge compared to other authors?
-♥-- I'm not too sure about if I have and edge. Some say it's my true to heart descriptions of things, how I always put a part of my heart in every sentence. Yes, sappy as it is, some people tell me that.
Who are your influences, both professional and fanfiction authors?
-♥-- Jane Austen, Dan Brown, Runaway Soul/Moon-kun
Who is the author that you would most like to meet?
-♥-- The authors in my favorite list and of course my reviewers and my readers. They are the reason why I continue to write in fanfiction.
If you could publish any of your stories, copyright problems aside, what would it be?
-♥-- Uhhhmm... Uhhh... I'm not too sure if my stories are good enough to be published; let alone have people besides the fanfiction circle read it.
What has been your favorite fanfiction moment since you began writing?
-♥-- It was when I started writing The Sakura Festival. It was my first work of 'art' and it gave me my big break, really. By far, that's the most reviewed multi-chap I've ever written.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
-♥-- How I am constantly excelling in procrastination. How I tend to feel so inferior to the authors whose stories are reviewed by so many and loved by all.
How are you different from other authors?
-♥-- I am different from other authors because even if I tend to take over used plots, I try to make it mine; try to make it as original as possible.
What has been your proudest moment in fanfiction for you so far?
-♥-- Watching how my stories gain popularity in such a limited amount of time. Seeing people review my stories and give me wonderful feed-backs. And when a supposed harsh critique told me I had a good story going. And it was my first work as well, meaning it had so much room for repair and yet he let me off so easily!
If you couldn't write, which talent would you most like to have?
-♥-- I would like to be a musical type. I like it when I sing, but I can't say the same for those who are listening to me. Or maybe someone who can play the guitar.
Who is your favorite reviewer and why?
-♥-- Anyone who gives me a well-rounded critique. And the only one who came close to that is The Inevitable Truth.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
-♥-- That I am old enough to be a better writer than I should be. Kidding. :)
Do you plan on pursuing writing professionally?
-Not really. Writing fanfiction is quite different from writing in the real world. I may just get too heart broken from reading the bad reviews that they will give me. Kidding! But honestly though, I'm not too sure about pursuing a writing career; I'm hardly the type to do so.
What are your personal goals in life?
-♥-- To maybe get better in writing, finish my education, get a stable and high paying job, take care of my parents, maybe start my own and just live, love and laugh. :))
What would your friends be surprised you own?
-♥-- Hmm... A really frilly gown and stilettos?
What other talents do you have?
-♥-- Drawing, cooking, baking and talking :)
When did you first start writing?
-♥-- Do you mean in fanfiction? Back in 2006 I think, or maybe around February-March of 2007.
