Laundromat(n): A place where people go to launder clothes in the absence of their own personal washer and dryer.
I think my parents forgot how to use one. In early January, our dryer stopped working when its belt came off. We don't really have the money to fix itso it is still broken (though the washer still works).
Instead of going to the laundromat we have resorted to wearing the same clothes interchangably for the past TWO MONTHS. Which means that there are some clothes I haven't worn since Christmas. I guess I should have done those when I was still at my grandmothers, but I didn't want to use up all her hot water and thought I'd be able to do them when I got home.
And since I can't drive and have no other means of transportation unless one of them takes me, I'm screwed. I'd ask, bit again I thought it'd be a no brainer considering they need theirs done, too. Apparently not. My mom even mentioned one close by last night in conversation and I wanted so bad to say "How about we go there tomorrow?"
I guess everything else is more important than say, having clean clothes to wear. I'm all for recycling but this is ridiculus.
