Mmmm... not really a western. It takes place on a planet called the Endless Illusion and there are some western-type themes. The planet is... dying in a sense, so a lot of the land has become desolate and you see that in Wendy's hometown especially. I love the weapons used in the series, the ones that the Seven use, like Van's sword has its hilt but when he pulls it out it's almost like a cloth-like material that then hardens and takes its shape. It's also interesting how they are connected to their armor as well. If you like mecha then I'd say at least check it out :)
