Spiritus mundi

Halfway through the last Dresden book, I promised myself I would take a break. Finished yesterday morning and bought the next two on the way home from work. So much for keeping promises to myself. I'm glad I did, though, because if I hadn't, I would have missed some amusing synchronicity this morning.

Harry's explaining to a normal how people can avoid seeing magic when it's all around them, and he maneuvers the conversation around to force the normal to say the words, "I don't believe in monsters," which given the previous 20 pages of the book is just damn silly at that point. As I'm reading this, I notice that "Starless and Bible Black" by King Crimson is shrilling away in my ear buds. All I could think was, "They guy might not believe in monsters, but I'll bet Robert Fripp does."

Well, I thought it was funny.
