(no subject)
I have the best idea for a Torchwood fanfic. Except that it'll be so, so long once I start writing it. I'll probably need to find a beta, maybe post the first chapter and ask around after that?
The only problem is that I need to come up with a name for Jack. As in, his real name. It needs to be futuristic but not silly, it needs to have a good one syllable nickname, it needs to sound fine with Grey, and it needs to sound like Jack's name. Except the only name that sounds like Jack's name is Jack. And I'm worried about writing a fic with tons of Jack, but calling him something else and it being jarring. Am I worrying to much? Maybe. I've outlined the bits in my brain, very loosely, so hopefully I'll write the first couple of chapters on friday. I am so excited to have a plotty fic! I really just needed to wait for something to come to me and not to force it.
Also, this is the funniest thing I've read in along time. I try to avoid Janto meta, except when I'm looking for insights into their characters to write about, but this made me glad I've read enough to get the bitching.
