Had to stay up until practically midnight last night to help Mom fill out my Stafford Loan application, since it was an online application....and when Mom was growing up, computers were the size of our living room. I tried not to scream at her, and failed. Luckily, she knows how to laugh at herself.
"So...do I click on this now?"
"No, Mom, you wait for the magic bunny to come along and do it for you."
I get strange when I lose my patience/get crabby/need sleep.
And, yeay, I get to miss school tomorrow for Drama Club field trip!! Yeeeeay!!
Ok, so I watched "Outlaws" again last night. Just as good as the first time, if not better. And hey, I actually heard "It comes back around" this time, instead of just thinking it was all some random eeeerie whispering. Go me! ("If you build it, they will cooome..." "Knock it off!!!")
And I think I finally figured out what the heck the boar is supposed to be representative of. It's not death, it's not guilt, it's not Sawyer's father, it's not even that Frank Duckett guy that Sawyer accidentally killed...it's the original Sawyer. Think about it...it's the same story all over again: a consuming single-minded vengeance quest against someone/something that wronged him that drives him to do some pretty irrational things at times (to put it lightly, in the case of what happened to our Sweet Shrimp shack man in Austrailia..). I'm not sure though whether Sawyer deciding not to kill the boar at the end was suposed to be him realizing that letting his life be driven by the pursuit of the first Sawyer was pointless, or just that he realized that the boar was *not* the same thing and that he was projecting.
And for some reason I'm really looking forward to that one hour special next week. I dunno, a review should be refreshing. Plus, who knows? They may point out something that I missed...
