Okay, And Now I'm Trying to Focus On Happy Thoughts
As sort of a counterpoint to my 'blaaaargh, negative' entry earlier today, here's some more better stuff.
First of all, I might as well start plugging it now, because someone already asked me and I figured it can use as much pimpage as it can get - just as a heads up, I am planning on doing the Sweet Drabblethon again this year.
It's going to be on the 16th of October this time, which means you can expect me to put up the prompt collection post on the 2nd, and the claims post on the 9th. And of course the final masterlist of completed prompts will attempt to go live on Sweetest Day itself, 10/16.
Last year we had 40 prompts claimed and written for in a wide variety of fandoms, so here's hoping we can have as great a turnout this year. ♥
Also, probably nothing nobody cares about: but waaay back in the Stuff I Am Kinda Sorta Hoping To Write About corner, I realized at some point I started trying to mentally cast for the characters in my planned Avengers fic. (Somewhat amusingly/interestingly, a lot of my picks seem to be pulled from shows I don't actually watch myself, but still hear plenty about from all over mt flist.)
So far I've got Jessica Marais as Scarlet Witch, Anna Torv as Tigra, D.B. Woodside as Luke Cage, and Alona Tal as Spider-Woman.
Keeping the idea that I'm still going to have Sam Rockwell/Justin Hammer be the Vision (who's totally getting a wardrobe upgrade, for the record, because holy way retro/only works in the comics costume, Batman) (actually I'm planning on having a little referential fun with that, bc in this verse in my head Janet van Dyne puts her fashionista skills up to the task of coming up with a costume, and so there gets to be this fun little conversation between her and Justin where they toss ideas around; he specifically asks for a cape at first, and Janet pulls an Edna Mode and shoots that one down right off the bat) then that leaves us with four more West Coasties to "cast". I probably shouldn't be enjoying this as much as I am, but it's ridiculously self-serving and therefore fun.
