Best. Michael Kors impression. Ever.
But when that's the highlight of your episode, possibly the entire season so far? Not a great sign.
Tonight I realized we're down to ten designers, and I can only remember maybe four of their names. And out of this entire batch, I genuinely like maybe a few of them, am okay about the rest, kind of annoyed by two and, overall, I just...don't really care.
Man, I just really miss enjoying this show. Or is it just me? Seriously, is it? Come on, Project Runway, bring it together.
I will say they made the right call in sending home who they did, though. Girl looked seriously burned out and ready to quit. It seemed clear to me being in the bottom two last week shook her up too much and she couldn't get over it. Plus, Amy is one of the ones I do like, and I've thought she's brought out some pretty cool stuff before, so you know, anything to keep her spared.
Tim Gunn is, of course, always fabulous.
(In my shiny semi-delusional post-Dollhouse self indulgent happy place, btw, Tim Gunn totally survived the Thoughtpocalypse. Oh yes. He did, and he took charge in his awesome 'No Time For This Nonsense' Tim Gunn way, and he rallied whatever models and fashion people he was with into forming a survivor band, and they holed up in a makeshift fort somewhere, last outpost in the desolation of the prairie style. And though he learned to shoot a rifle and do without styling mousse, he still wears a pretty necktie because the end of the world is no reason to completely give up being chic, dammit. And, sometime during those ten years we missed, Dominic stumbled across this hideout, and before getting on his way again they bonded over their admittedly impractical but still undeniable pining over their lost formal wear. They mourn their suits together and commiserate, man, because they both GET IT in a way no one else does. And the whole time, Dominic had no idea who this brilliant, sweet-faced man he was sharing his last canteen of Jack Daniels with is.)
