Oh, yay, this was unsurprisingly but still awesomely wonderful! ♥ I am always so impressed by how epic your stories get; you so thoroughly create this whole world and so much goes on and by the time I get to the end I just feel so useless comment-wise because my whole brain is like boom! But let's try! I loved getting to see Topher living with the Revolutionaries out in nature -- my sappy Romantic predispositions had me all emotional with him, like, seeing a real forest for the first time, and this is probably just my own personal values (er, for ... trees?) coming in, but I thought that there was something really poignant about the way you portrayed the camp and the lifestyle even though it was so hard and not exactly escaping to naturey paradise or anything. You made me like Paul way more than usual! And I loved that we got to see Claire and Alpha, both of whom were so awesomely them. And DOM AND TOPHER REUNITING, HUZZAH! I thought you did all their scenes together so well, and their banter was such an utter source of joy no matter the circumstance; haha, I love that their first kiss was followed, by, like, Dom being all, "Wow, you didn't suck at that as badly as I expected you to," and Topher being like, "Hey, no fangs, cool!" FELLAS. ♥ And IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING that I loved all the stuff with Adelle at the end, and Dominic's reactions to realizing that he was going to get not one but two donors-slash-badass-significant-others was hilarious & adorable. I am really happy that you actually did solve everything with them just having a merry three-person relationship! SEE, KIDS, THIS STUFF CAN WORK OUT!
Next, do we get our Adelle and Dominic get worshipped as deities adventure? ;-D

...Boy, do I ever know that feeling. (I promise I'll get around to leaving better fb on your semi-epic D/D story eventually, I swear!)
I loved getting to see Topher living with the Revolutionaries out in nature -- my sappy Romantic predispositions had me all emotional with him, like, seeing a real forest for the first time[...]I thought that there was something really poignant about the way you portrayed the camp and the lifestyle even though it was so hard and not exactly escaping to naturey paradise or anything.
After spending the first two chapters with cities and civilazation, I wanted to make sure at some point we got out into the wilderness and got to really see what the enviroment was like in this world and what had happened to it. That contrast was important to me. It also made a great getaway for pining, unhappy Topher, if only to give him something else to focus on for a little while and to develop an eensy bit, even if he didn't realize it. I'm glad to hear that you seem to think I got the...I'm going to say "power", if only because I can't think of what else...of that scenario across well.
I'm so happy that you like what I did with the characters. Getting them right is at the heart of any AU, and I always fret over that.

(Actually, Topher was more like "Hey, I can kiss you without slicing my tongue apart, cool!" ;P) Haha, yes, even in a romantic relationship, these two are bickering. It's just gotta be. Because sucking your boyfriend's brain out arguing is totally foreplay, right? Fandom has taught me well!
Dominic's reactions to realizing that he was going to get not one but two donors-slash-badass-significant-others was hilarious & adorable.
I almost was afraid that was a little over the top, so I'm relieved and happy-face-making to hear that you liked it.

Hey, I marked it "eventual Topher/Dominic/DeWitt" in part one, man, and I delivered. How else did you think it was gonna go? ;) ...I think every love triangle should always be solved this way. (I had this idea that during the beach swordfight in PotC 2, Elizabeth should've just been like "Hey, guys..." And then the four of them have sex. Tell me you wouldn't have enjoyed that ending!)
Next, do we get our Adelle and Dominic get worshipped as deities adventure?
Um. I talk about this in my latest lj entry, but basically, if you couldn't tell I got really burned out by how I was stuck on this story so long and bummed I didn't really contribute anything to the D/D 'athon. I'm...really not feeling it, right now. I'm still going to try and write something before tomorrow, I've got two short pieces in mind I'd like to try, but that's not one of them, and afer that I think I need a break for awhile. Suffice to say, I'm sorry but I really don't think that one is happening.
