Just A Little Update, An Announcement
I spent the morning doing important real life type things, such as canceling the electric service, changing my address with the post office, and putting in a few applications for jobs. Don't I feel like a productive member of society.
It looks like there's a more than decent chance there might be an opening for me at this one smoothie shop up at the Legacy Village shopping complex, so there's some potential good news. Something to be hopeful for, at least. I should hear back on whether or not I've got the job by beginning of next week at the latest.
Later tonight (or early tomorrow morning, as the case might very well end up being), I'll be posting up the latest part of my Dollhouse fic series. After that, I'll be going on hiatus for writing it for at least the rest of the month. My batteries need a mini recharge, and my brain a break from only thinking in one fandom.
So if you're a reader for that series and you've fallen behind, this coming week will be a good time to catch up. Just giving you the heads-up. Once I resume working on it, I probably won't stop until season two begins on the 25th of September, since I have at least a dozen more parts to go and I want to finish it for real before the influx of new canon.
I'll probably take a day or so off from doing much of anything internet related, but after that I plan to spend the rest of the week working on projects for other fandoms that I've neglected.
I wish I could say that means I'll be finishing with the prompts for the Lost Luau, but unfortunatly I have to report that's not gonna happen. It's not even so much that I'm outrageously behind (well, it is that, a little), it's just that I'm really not feeling inspired to write for that world right now at all. And I have too much respect for my fellow Luau'ers to subject them to the crap that I'd produce if I tried to force myself. So I guess you could say I'm giving up the ghost on that one. I wrote a total of five fics, which I think if I remember the rules means I still get to play again next time, so all I can do is try again next year and attempt to do better. Staying positive, right? Better luck next time.
