So, apparantly Michael Jackson has had a cardiac arrest and is either in a coma or dead.
I'm not a fan of his either way, never have been, but still. That is some...staggering news.
And to think, I wouldn't even have heard about it, if not for machi_neko calling and asking me if I knew what was going on.
And on top of this, afer recently losing Ed McMann, it seems we've now also lost Farrah Fawcett?
Bad week to be a celebrity, I guess.
EDIT: Jackson confirmed as dead now, by multiple sources, and the internet is kind of broken as an unsurprising result.
I didn't love him, I didn't hate him, and owing to the time and manner in which I grew up, I really didn't know much of him outside of the public spectacle. But it's a sad day when anyone dies, and I won't deny that he was iconic, definitive, meant something to a lot of people, and when he goes, something goes with him.
Also, I guess the actress who played Priestess Elosha on BSG died a couple days ago, as well. Yeah, bad week to be a celebrity.
