Did I have any homework this weekend? God, I hope not, because I've completely blown off doing it, just like I've done with everything else

I don't even *like* Perfect Circle that much. But it's funny what the right combination of fandom and vidding imagery can do for a song and your perceptions of it.
That "Handlebars" vid *is* totally amazing. I was totally whatever about that song when I first heard it, even though it was kind of catchy; but then after seeing that vid, I'm finding myself liking it much more. It's like the vid gave me a story to hang onto those lyrics, which before, just seemed to me kind of random.
I'd never heard it before, but considering how "...what?" I felt watching the opening of that vid the very first time, I can defintely get your mehness. I mean, I get the idea behind the song (world leaders are like little kids showing off, blah blah), but this is one of those cases where imagery definitely helps. Like, I think I wouldn't love Pearl Jam's "Evolution" half so much if I'd never seen the official music video for it.
Thanks for the recs, Handlebars is AWESOME. Haven't watched the other one yet, but "The Noose" was on my short list back when I made my Gaius Baltar fanmix, and then I rejected it for being TOO on the nose. Hee.
Seriously? The first time I ever heard the song was in a Heroes vid, and I got horribly distracted halfway through watching it because the Gaiuscentric part of my hindbrain had latched onto the lyrics and was going "OMG OMG OMFG". Like, if in the Gaius-Felix showdown they keep hinting at us finally getting involves Felix calling him on it, THIS SONG WILL BE PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND IN MY MIND.
Unfortunately, I first heard the song in a Buffy vid long before I got into BSG, so in my mind it will always be a Spike song first and a Gaius song second.

APC always seems to work perfectly with BSG vids. its like this haunting melodical sadness that just goes so well with the whole aura of the show.
