My latest fanvid project, which has been consuming my soul, my sleep, my concentration and a sizeable chunk of my free time for the past month, is finally finished.
It has been finished ever since early Monday afternoon, as a matter of fact. I love the way it looks. I'm really super proud of it.
Why am I not sharing this purportedly awesome vid with all of you? Because, after the past four weeks or so of all but biting my hand off every time I worked on this, Windows Movie Maker has finally staged a coup.
It will not let me save the movie file. At all.
It won't even tell me why...oh, it gives me a list of "possible reasons", but I happen to know they're all bullcrap, because I haven't touched any of the source files for my clips and there's plenty of space on my harddrive (over 50GB when I'm trying to save something that's 17MB) and there's nothing else in that file by the same name that could be taking up that spot.
I have restarted my computer. I have shut down my computer, let it sit overnight and come back. I have defrag'd my harddrive, compressed files and burned off twelve of my saved episodes in a desperate attempt to make room anyway. I have tried saving the movie file under two different locations and three different file names. I even "Save Project As"d the whole damn thing as something else and tried saving the movie file from there.
But every time I try to save the movie file (and it's been at least twenty times now, spaced out over the past three days) same thing:
WindowsMovieMaker: *sticks out tongue* Nananananana!!
...now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to drown myself in the shower and possibly fling my laptop out a window after smashing it with a chair.
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK.
