"Yeah, what'd she do? Bone a thricewise?"

You know what LJ needs? Some kind of feature that keeps track of how often you use your icons or something.
That way when I want to add some new ones and am deciding which old ones to get rid of, I can look at the "manage userpics" page and see something like "times used" or "last time used" for each one.

Because this is at least the third time I've caught myself updating my icons and fretting over which ones to get rid of, and finding myself going "Yes, I like that one, but how often do I really use it?"

Just a thought.

In other news, I sold back three of my books today, for a "whopping" thirty-seven fifty.
Of course, the instant you press any significant amount of money into my hand my brain immediately goes "time to spend!" I am so terrible that way.

But anyway, first I got myself this nifty book called Ink: The Not-Just-Skin-Deep Guide to Getting A Tattoo.

(Yes, I have been considering get a tat' for at least a couple years now. I think I know what I want, too, it's just a matter of figuring out where exactly on my body I want it and how big.)

After that I hit Urban Outfitters, aka "the store all my clothes would so come from if I was made of money". Didn't see any must-haves in my price range of the moment, but there was this really cute dress for about sixty bucks. Damn you, world of fashion!

Finally, I wandered over to this comicbook store I keep walking past on High Street but never went into before.
I...tell you right now, that is going to change. They've got everything there. Figures, comics, posters, graphic novels, Marvel, DC, manga, indy comics...guh. The best part, they actually had back issues of stuff all shelved together (don't laugh; the one comics store I used to go to, you were lucky if you could find the issue before the current one without having to ask). I think I lost about an hour in there, browsing.

In the end, I walked out with three issues of the new Buffy: Season Eight comic, issue number two and two versions of issue number three, since I couldn't decide if I liked the Willow-in-witchy-getup or Xander-and-Willow-with-Buffy-jigsaw cover better (oh my god, I'm turning into one of those people).

I also finally got a chance to get a real look at the Dynamite Battlestar Galactica comic, and have confirmed my suspiscions that it's not for me. They had issues three through nine hidden on a back shelf and I skimmed a bunch; I don't like the storyline, which came across as trippy and confusing (not to mention clearly AU and/or makes NO SENSE with canon), and I just can't get past the fact that the art, however decent, just does not look like the characters. Definitely not when I'm holding Buffy comics in my hands, in particular; it is possible to actually draw some damn resemblance while staying true to style, I swear. So, whatever.

Anyway, back to the Buffy comics.

They guy who sold them to me said that the latest should be in Wednesday, which, sweet. I am loving this storyline, this art, these characters...in the interest of not spoiling anyone who still wants to pick them up, I'll keep my squeeing intensely vague. Let's just say issue three completely roxxor'd my soxxors, and Buffy's quirky crazy dream fun makes me laugh (Ethan? Bzuh??), and the zombie ball was awesome, and "fe fi fo f%$#ing fum" indeed, and I'm totally digging Willow's new green outfit, and the dialogue is a thing of pure Whedonesque beauty, and who did wake up Buffy, and can I just say I love that they actually included Andrew and Giles, and so the next one wraps up the "Long Way Home" arc and I think the next arc is supposed to have something to do with Faith, and I am all a-giddy-fucking-twitter!

Oh, and the cliffhanger for issue three?

...Oh. My GOD.
