"Didn't see that coming."

Yeah, I'll be the first to admit it...the flashback teaser fake-out totally got me ("We're in Miami!" Damn you, Lost!).

Okay, so: once upon a time, Juliet was a uber talented doctor doing super special fertility research at some facility, and using her sister as the subject in her experiment which was...I have no idea, but I'm pretty sure her sister had cancer. And that it was important she got pregnant somehow. Like, medically as well as personally.

But anyway, Juliet got approached by the Our Name Is Not Dharma and/or Hanso Even Though We Totally Are Foundation, who really really wanted her. I mean, really. So badly that they had the late great Ethanator spying and/or doing god only knows what with her sister, and when her ex-husband/boss (Juliet has a bad track record with this, methinks) wouldn't let her leave? They arranged to have him hit by a bus. I mean, literally (I flashed back to Mean Girls; I'm not gonna lie). SHIT.

So, how many of the Others do you think are working for "I just wanna go home!" points? I'm starting a tally, because this is starting to look like a trend.

Spot the Actor time: Juliet's ex/boss was that creepy stalker guy who could psychically disconnect his body parts in that episode of Angel, wasn't he? I swear to god.
Now, where the hell did I recognize the representative of Totally Not Dharma/Hanso, We Swear Foundation from? It's driving me nuts. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Sensory overload torture: Hmm...I like it, it's got a nice beat. *grooves about*
(Seriously, I don't Lost can really freak me out with torture anymore since I started watching Battlestar more obsessively...oh god, that's a crossover idea I do not need. DAMMIT)

Still no explanation on where Carl came from, I see? Right. Moving on.

Sawyer was snarky love this episode ("Say 'hi' for me...GET TO THE POINT!"). Kate was...kind of freaky hardcore. Whoa. Not really OOC for her, to be true, but still. I kind of like that it freaked Sawyer out a little. He doesn't know her as well as he thinks, you know. I don't think anyone really does.

I don't know why, but I like Tom. He just seems so...I dunno. Just like, "Man, I'm just here", if that makes any sense. He's very earthy and friendly. I kind of feel for him.

So, Benry lives then, one supposes? I'm glad. He's a very creepy dude, and I look forward to being creeped out by him in the future.

"So you're the boss' daughter? Didn't see that coming." No kidding.
So Ben raised Alex as his daughter? Well, that at least explains why he asked for her before going under last season.
But...does Alex know she's "adopted"? Does she have any clue about Danielle? Man, I forgot how many friggin' questions are on this show. My head hurts.

You know, I just realized that there wasn't any of the really freaky island shit going on in this episode. Interesting.

Alright, Lost. Not a bad job, overall. Not exactly "COMPELLING DRAMA!!ONE!", but you definitely have my attention. Now let's see if you can keep it.

But, now for the real question: just how many fanfic writers do you think are going to take Juliet's alluded to impregnation of a male fieldmouse as the go ahead for the crazy island mpreg fics?
