Never hearing good of yourself...
Just completed the slightly cumbersome process of web-converting the .CAF files of my Conterpoint set recorded on Lissa's iPod into a more PC-friendly format. And then listened back...
Hmmm, he says in a slightly unconvinced manner. Vocals are coming along (though I need to be much gentler with the end verses of The One Left Behind). Guitar sounds a bit low relative to the voice (though that may be because Lissa was right at the front and is getting voice directly too!), But some of those songs, principally the strummed ones, are quite definitely *way* too quick. Not sure if it's nerves or whether I always play them at that speed and just aren't used to hearing myself - Lissa says so - but listening back they're just way too fast. Grrrr.
Then again, I ran 2-3 minutes or so over even playing them at that speed so perhaps it's as well they were fast. But clearly I need to practice having the confidence to slow them down a bit.
