Zombies and Publishing (lolwhut)

Last night I had this awesomely random chat with a1y_puff. I told her that I just found out there's a publications that specializes in Twilight fanfics. In fact, there are 2 movies based on Twilight fanfics in the making. But I've talked about this before. My point this time is:

If your fandom(s) suddenly becomes famous and you are offered to publish some of your works, which one(s) of them will you publish?

I actually want to publish The Butterfly Mansion from Loveless fandom. It's long enough to almost become a novel and although I think the quality isn't always good (there are chapters I still don't like reading), this could be my best long-ish fanfic. Of course, if it gets published I will have to make Ritsuka older, maybe around 14-15.

If I have a chance to explore the world further and make the story more complex (and longer), then I'd like to try to edit then publish  Haven from PoT. But right now I'm working on the original version of that universe, so... :P

What about anthology? I've found an anthology of Star Trek fanfics eons ago. What if I could make anthology (with other authors, of course)?

In that case, I want to submit Under the Bright Night Sky, The Shining Star, and Love Afire from PoT fandom because I think they are my best attempts at writing realistic fics. From non-PoT fandoms I want to submit Shades of Life from Peacemaker Kurogane fandom (tho the fic is very short) and Real from Genshiken fandom (obscure fandom is obscure) because... I like the angst and it's quite realistic, I guess.

What about you, f-list?

Now moving on to the zombies. I don't like zombies, ok? They're not as attractive as, say, vampires and I just don't know what the appeal of the setting (What are the protagonists fighting for? Won't everyone just die in the end? What's the point of it all, really?). But, lately I have this muse about zombie apocalypse. I fully blame reading cracked.com for this muse, but I can't really forget it either. Since I'm horrible with action and horror, this muse will probably never be written. But that aside, I have a few random questions.

What would happen if you starve a group of zombies? Will they eat each other? Will they realize how empty their lives are and start to develop their own human-like civilization? Will they just sit around going 'blarghblarghblargh' at each other until something vaguely living stupidly wanders close to them? Will they die (are they dead already? I don't really understand the mechanism of zombies) from starvation/boredom/whatever?

Err... pointless musing is pointless. I'll get back to work now.
