actually, the hike was fantastic. Got me out of the house in a way that didn't either involve school or work, gave me lots of decent exercise and reaffirmed that all the lunges I've been doing actually help (my bottom is still quite sore, thankyouverymuch). Plus the weather, which rained so much in the first 15 minutes that we almost turned around

I needed some cheer tonight :)
back to school? nooooooo. I have been in school for 2.5 years straight now, plus working full time and trying to have a life. I don't personally recommend it unless you're REALLY sure.

i'm hoping to go back full time this fall for a CDA (tech certificate). totally job related and 100% paid for- which means they might not have enough grant money for me to go full time, but i'll be taking as much as they'll let me cuz i want it done and over with within a couple of semesters, lol.

By the time I'm a nurse I'm just going to hate all people, all the time. I'm sure that will make things more interesting...

and now i work with kids. cuz at least they're social morons because they don't know any better. not because they're assholes. well, some of them are assholes :P
one of my lit profs was still a practicing RN. she'd been an ER nurse for 35 years. and she didn't like people either- but she was highly interested in their tattoos and the basic dramatic melange that is humanity at its worst. probably why she was a writer and lit prof, lol.

But I remind myself that it's a good thing there are people out there who really, truly enjoy working with kids, because that means there's less chance I will have to. They're cute and all, but from a distance.

Your prof sounds awesome: ER nurses are some special sort of amazing that I can't comprehend. I could never do it; I'd be hitting people, and then I'd be fired and have to go to school again.
