Smallville Freak-out
I just watched the Smallville Season Finale. I can't form sentences.
THEY KILLED HALF THEIR MAIN CAST!
The last sequence was bloody amazing - slow-motion cuts between about four scenes, with classical music playing and no other sound. Lionel having his head shaved, LEX BEING POISONED, CHLOE BEING BLOWN UP and Martha seeing that she's lost Clark through a pretty fire symbol on the lawn.
Well, shit. Pete left last week, Lana left for Paris this ep, Clark's been taken by Jor-El, Jonathan's been half-strangled by Jor-El, Chloe's been blown up by Lionel and Lex has been poisoned by Lionel. So, what? That leaves Lionel and Martha in the season opener, and I don't even want to contemplate the connection.
And with the best damn Clex for the entire season! Clark told Lex he saw him being fried, but didn't tell him about his grandparents cos he thought Les would be murdered - concern, best friend declarations, much yayage by me!
Then LIONEL gives Clark the key to Lex's obsession room. Betrayed!Clark, and hell, I forgot to mention the blonde 'Kryptonian' who is dragging Clark back to Jor-El. She kills the Fed, then gets zapped by Jor-El.
And Lana's gone, after hugging Lex for all she was worth whilst Clark watched. Huh. Love triangleness is WEIRD.
And I'm still shocked. Everyone's gone. Just...gone.
