3 favorite relationships
- Gen-Attolia. They are just fascinating.
- Relius + Attolia & Gen. Gen helping Relius overcome the effects of torture, partly because of Attolia and partly just because Gen knew what it was like, was one of the best parts of King of Attolia. And Attolia loves Relius but almost can't let herself, but then she does! And ;__;!
- Costis-Gen. They are hilarious, sweet, and even manage some epic.

Also Gen-his dad because that attempted mercy killing scene after they were captured was heartbreaking. Attolia-Eddis doesn't actually have much of a relationship (well, in the first 3 books, I'm still waiting on #4), but it could be SO INTERESTING.

3 of my favorite moments
- The proposal. I knew at some point Gen and Attolia hook up but that was seriously so "what? what in the--? WHHHAAAAAAT" And of course where Attolia accepts the proposal.
- Attolia going to Eddis's coronation and giving the wise advice, "Kill everybody!!"
- Everything about the scene in King of Attolia where the assassins went after Gen.

3 reasons I like/love that fandom
- Love the world-building and like, all the characters. The way magic is a very light touch in the story is a nice change of pace.
- THE COVERS sorry I have a strange and intense affection for the covers of the copies I have.
- The plots are well-executed. You can't quite tell where the trick is, but at the end it all comes out nicely.

Possibly I've mentioned this to you, but the third book made me so mad at Gen that it is actually hilarious. Please, laugh at me. But it's just sure, praise the character (I loved him too ... ONCE) but not at the expense of all the other great characters!

Anyway Costis is basically this enormously awesome and huggable golden retriever. Stoic but fluffy guard dog attempting to learn how to gently herd his king back into the fold.
