It's time for a Gunnerkrigg Court post. It is well beyond time!
Chapter 30: The Coward Heart - Right, so: eyebrows

Smitty's eyebrows!!
I don't particularly have feelings about Parley/Smitty, but nonetheless THAT WAS DEEPLY CUTE. All the cuddling and hand-holding and then, straightforward confession and they're gonna need a room, I'm pretty sure. And Parley's happy blushy giddy faaaaaaaaaaace.
Also, Parley taking action is very yes. I hope she'll still want to go see Jeanne once she's had time to romance. Go forth! To the rescue! There is magnificent art on the forum that speculates where this is going to lead. The best thing about that page where she decides to take action, though: the comment that "The first few chapters of exposition looked a little weird." Good on ya, Tom Siddell, for making that joke before others could. XD
It is incredible that Diego and the Court's plot against Jeanne is even worse than it first seemed. She's so determined and hopeful and then.
So Jeanne hates the Court and the people who live in it, naturally, but she compliments Parley here - "A fine strike, fille", and it doesn't seem like it necessarily has to be sarcastic. It's intriguing and just so odd and - what is going on there? What about all the hate and lost love and oh don't forget heartbroken starvation death?
It's SUCH a good thing how this chapter mixed tragedy and death, and life and joy. I'm so glad that after Jeanne's story there was all the gooshy adorable amazing-faced teenage makeouts and eyebrows. It should have been difficult to trump that, but then there was hat

And about Monday's page: OH ANNIE. NOOOOO (freakin' a I've been waiting for this plotline to come up for ages)
Also! Her smile at Jack looks genuine. Like "Phew, that was awkward, but maybe we can really be friends now!" Jack's waving so hard too, it's adorable.
And Kat's mask! With the little beak! And her glowering X-Files poster! Oh Kat.
I am so in love with this comic it's unreasonable.
Fic challenge stuff:
springkink prompts are up. There are some awesome prompts - in the FMA prompts, which were collected over here, someone had the idea of Selim/Elicia future fic. Genius. and people actually asked for Stephen Black/the silver-haired gentleman (Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrel) and Abdullah/Flower-in-the-Night (Howl's Moving Castle series). I've found my people!
Except for in the collected KHR prompts, boo. I don't like almost all the ones I didn't leave myself. But as an aside: when leaving prompts the idea of boyHaru/girlGokudera came to me, and it's the hottest.
And of course yuletide sign-ups are open. At one point I lost interest in it, but browsing through the list of available fandoms gave me about 19 new things to request, e.g. DISNEY PRINCESS SUPERHEROES ARE ELIGIBLE damn it, now what am I supposed to do with myself. (The answer is: "request Jasmine fic".)
