AAAAAHHHHH blue_phlox IS DRAWING FOR INCEPTION
'why is demoerin peeing herself', you think, 'that's so awkward.' It is because I LOVE BLUE PHLOX'S ART it's very pretty. In Good Omens fandom it was the single reason I realised why people decided to huff crack and ship Pollution/Famine: it could be super hot. Eyeshield 21 - Gorgeous Hiruma/Musashi. And then there's American Gods and Sandman! I think there's Supernatural, for those of you interested in that. And now ... SAITO.
And RocknRolla fic for Handsome Bob/One Two??! This is the day the internets decided to fling everything I want at me, huh.
For a grand example: My fma_ladyfest fic, Off The Air. Mrs. Bradleeeeey. Wraaaaaath. I love them so! Yesterday I was saying that I hoped for Mrs. Bradley fic out of the fest and here it is, perfect.
That aside. Yuletide nominations are open, with info here and the fandom nominations page here. (FYI, Yuletide is a giant rare fandom fic exchange held around Christmastime.) You can check all currently available fandoms here. (...OH SHI--SOMEBODY NOMINATED OGLAF. It ... it was probably inevitable.)
My picks: Diana Wynne Jones - Eight Days of Luke, Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown album, A Knight's Tale, Megan Whalen Turner - The Queen's Thief series, Patrick Ness - Chaos Walking trilogy, Roger Norman - Albion's Dream. So much YA, ahaha. I might cancel Eight Days of Luke or Queen's Thief (someone will certainly nominate that) for The Lost Boys (an atrocious/awesome 80s vampire movie). Thank goodness Gentlemen of the Road is already nominated.
Although, I went to look at the unfilled requests list from 2009, and--ONE request for Gentlemen of the Road features Filaq, and even that is as an aside to Zelikmann making it with Amram. What about the fic where Filaq rules the world through badassery and elephants? Or an exploration of how he maintains his kingdom and identity, anyway? Fandom - in spite of the top part of this post - at times you feel so inadequate!
