OH ALSO. I've been meaning to say. If by chance you feel like a new manga to read, Vinland Saga might work for you. It's full of chopped-off limbs and blood, being a manga about Vikings, and also features the lovechild of Tsuna and Xanxus. Who is awesome.

I hope this isn't too much of a manga at you that you don't even read! But here goes. Warning, Vinland Saga has massively graphic violence. I skipped most of it, but there's still some.

The quick notes on Canute:

21-06 (poor captive prince, at least you have a great hat)
22-35 & 22-36 (the people who rescue him want to get to know him better)
23-18 & 23-19 (their conclusions)
24-10 (THIS IS THE FIRST THING HE'S SAID SINCE APPEARING.)
25-01 (happy memory)
11 & 25-12 (worst nightmare!)
30-24 & 30-25 (an act Canute would find surprising)
30-36 (and something that would not surprise him much at all)

Then read chapter 36 starting from pg 11, and 37-34, 37-35, 37-36. If that's a lot of reading, highlight for spoilers ... which are also a lot of reading: Ragnar, Canute's black-bearded caretaker who was killed in chapter 30, appears in his dreams to say goodbye. Canute weeps like a baby and says that he wishes he had been born Ragnar's son. Ragnar is pleased, but still says that he's failed in raising Canute: It's time for Canute to change

People have been fighting to keep him away from Thorkell, the guy who had him captured him in the beginning, or to recapture him and hand him back to Thorkell.

There's a guy who is fighting on Canute's side who is SUPER hopped up on shrooms, so many berserker shrooms.
That sounds hilarious and extreme at the same time. ♥

Canute/TYL Tsuna has shot straight up my favourite pairings list, it's pretty sad.
I think your favourite pairings list is an amazing place to be. *___* It is full of diversity and also fascinating, fascinating things. ♥

The series is full of this terrible dichotomy - awful violence made strangely attractive by political machinations and the evil smirks that go with it.

My favourite pairings list is an occasionally stupid place to be, but I rather like it. XD
