Girl Genius: Othar character development imminent?? "He broke his word!" Excellent delivery. I LOVE Othar, he is a huge and ridiculous tool, okay, and now we get to see more of the woman Moloch has such a crush on. This comic has been awesome lately.
WHAT THE FUCK HANNA
I thought it was some kind of chibi Lee/seal-wife strip! I was ready to have my heart put through the wringer! And then it WAS, and I don't even pay much attention to Hanna. There was spoiler art by Tessa linked on the comments page of the site and fuck me folks
Awwww migosh he's so cute, look at baby boy's big old gappy HOLY SHIT HANNA WILL EAT ME????????????? That slightly manic look in his eyes takes on a whole new unexpected dimension.
I may be developing an oddly specific character fetish for characters with giant gaslamp eyes who sing age-old canticles and such things. At least Hanna is Not a Boy's Name will provide.

And okay Gunnerkrigg 696 wasn't awesome per se BUT Tom's comment almost makes it so. XD Mostly I'm glad that something's happening on the Jack front, and that Annie felt guilty for not helping him out a little. It needed to happen. Annie's expressions are great, I love that … she has them now. And she actually called Reynardine a friend! And looks gorgeous with that ponytail! Nice, the moon still has her thumbprint. More on Kat sounds promising.
Also, the gorgeousest: Scans from an upcoming comic book adaptation of The Last Unicorn, on which Peter S. Beagle apparently had full input. Cover #2 made me realise that I love Mommy Fortuna - there's just something about badass old ladies.
EDIT: The next Hanna guest strip is pretty frigging great too, that was about three minutes straight of giggling. Zombie's face!
