On reflection re: work, I feel way better, because while book publishing might be tough, it's not journalism (My First Job), where I'd have to pull out the Norrington Hollers icon all the time. Augh, those daily deadlines.

When I finished re-reading with Monstrous Regiment I went trawling cheesemongers for goods, and there was a post where the OP mentioned that there's a lot of denying Tonker/Lofty. Which shouldn't be surprising, but really? You could believe they're just really co-dependent and good friends, if you tried. Very hard. But there's such a lot of willful ignorance involved in that that it's disgusting. The first time I finished the book and went looking for fic, FFN had a bunch of Polly/Blouse and Maladict/Otto Chriek fics with a slightly desperate air, with one author expressing mild annoyance that there was such a lot of of femmeslash resulting from this book. I WONDER WHY THAT IS.

Anyway, cheesemongers did lead to some goods, most important of which is the world's most fricking adorable little piece of Lofty/Tonker on DevArt ... and then there were a lot of other beautiful things.
