Twitter has been impossible for me to get because I can't concentrate repeatedly for 140 characters at a go - give me a paragraph, please! Then there was a link on Fandom Secrets to Shah Rukh Khan's Twitter feed:

He is Shah Rukh Khan!! eep. Too amazing. Might have to reconsider my stance on Twitter...

There was a really cool photo on the News 24 site recently:

Kid, you're ruining your image!

I also liked this one:

Special warfare appears to be like that scene in Zoolander where the models have a gasoline-fight. And so refreshing!

And for fannish5: Name five characters who should have their own spinoffs.

1. Ishtars (Yuugiou)
Not just Malik, Isis, Rishid, and Daddy, I mean the whole family. This wouldn't really work as a spin-off; it would be difficult to make into a story and especially into a Shounen Jump type story. But I've always wanted it! The story of a family choosing to live underground for 3000-some years, dwindling to a few semi-sane members and culminating in a wee boy that wants to destroy everything they ever stood for - that sounds fascinating. It could have included Malik growing up after running away and recruiting the Ghouls, and been awesome with themes of darkness/redemption/madness and lots more Rishid (whoops character bias). Oh, Takahashi, if you'd put ... an ounce of sense into Ishtar backstory I wouldn't have obsessed over characters who are 95% implied.

2. Xingese characters (Fullmetal Alchemist)
I would've said Hohenheim, but his story would also not be a good shounen-type one and anyway, mostly I'd want to see how he hooked up with Tricia. Something about the Homunculi would also be awesome, but probably as a long one-shot. But a series about alchemy AU China with lots more Lan Fan, Ling, Fuu, and Mei, plus all the other throne candidates and politics, would be amazing.

3. SHOICHI (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!)
SHOICHI. SHOICHI. SO AMAZING. The character with the most fascinating journey in the manga and damn it, it has to be relegated to flashbacks.

4. Helen (The Homeward Bounders)
I'm not even sure what kind of action such a story would have, but Diana Wynne Jones writing about a girl learning to rule a world of desert-dinosaurs can't go too far wrong.

5. Johnny & Yosaku (One Piece)
I'd pick the series up again this minute (tho I've been meaning to) if someone told me these two minor silly buggers appear in those title page side-stories Oda does.

Honourable mentions to Stephen Black (Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell), because he probably wouldn't suit a novel, but oh man a short story would be amazing. And I'd love, love, love a story for Maladict from Monstrous Regiment. It probably couldn't cover much that the book hasn't done already, but it'd be hilarious and wheee more Mal. OR JACKRUM. THAT probably wouldn't work either but WOULD BE SO GREAT. (I re-read Monstrous Regiment recently. It was obvious, right?)

discworld, fullmetal alchemist, reborn!, ishtars, yu-gi-oh!
