(no subject)
I accidentally reread half of Gunnerkrigg Court ("Hmm, what did they say on that one page again?" ...EIGHT CHAPTERS LATER), and there's one thing that bothers me a lot: Jack is left completely alone after the trip to Zimmy's private hell. That's weird - Kat and Annie know how disturbing the place is, and Kat is a friendly and sympathetic type, while Annie has clear ideas on duty and honour. They couldn't go visit the guy to see how he was doing, and then have nothing to do with him after finding out he'd turned into kind of a creep?
Also saw another parallel with the past - Jack's dad? uncle? elder male relative seems to have been one of the people giving Surma trouble, since he's a Hyland and the laser cow calls Jack "Mr. Hyland". Hmmmmm... (Unless Tom Siddell was recycling a surname and didn't realise. Can't expect the guy to remember everything.)

Time to stop reading and have multiple pages at a time to freak out over! Because pretty much I am freaking out. :D
Katekyo Hitman Reborn! 269: All those people writing Hibari and Ryohei as buds were right! What did they spot that I missed? This means that all the fics and fanart of Ryohei-Kyoko-Hibari once having been a bizarre and utterly adorable family unit are true, or at least they can be in my head. \o/ TYE Hibari showing very nearly respect and consideration for a human being is weird in a very welcome way. So the something-approaching-patience of TYL had somewhere to come from!
Kikyo's raptor-hydra form is actually bizarre and monstrous enough to back up some (a tiny bit. Liiiiiittle bit.) of the blah-blah Real Funeral Wreaths are ace blah-blah nonsense. But WHOA RYOHEI KICKED HIS ASS SOMETHING FIERCE?? RYOHEI?

Ryohei gets to do comparatively little so it's FUCK YEAH that he's throwing down good and proper. And hnnnngg I've wanted this kind of exploitation of the sun flame, it's so good to see. His primo backstory is also A+ delicious and I love it.
Re: 268 and Lightning Primo - he was the son of a what now? What fresh madness is this! Something to do with the Arcobaleno/tri-ni-sette business, maybe. I also wonder what it has to do with the line-up for the primo gang, who were supposed to be "kings, military men, rival mafia, and religious people". Number One Sunshine fills in religious and Alaude does military, so maybe Lightning is a prince, and thus a future king ... Earth Master ... thing? Maybe we'll get a canon crossover with Avatar: The Last Airbender and be done with it, that would tie in great with Mukuro's magic eyeball. (It is kind of depressing to look at that age-old page of the manga and see Primo guardians with what look like mildly original character designs. ._. Ah, well.)
