Will Alex reveal her own?  blahblahblahblahblah?  yea I suck at summaries but you get the gist.
A/N: CHAPTER 8 YO!!!! HUAH!!! lol So I've updated.  Yay for being extremely bored while sitting in a car in NJ and then feeling that I must finish this today.  This chapter.... I don't know how to describe it except it's not fluffy.  It's very important.  At least I believe it is.  So do not skip to people who skip chapters though I don't really think those exist here but you never know and oh my god, a long ass runon sentence sentence that must end now. This is still in Alex's perspective. Thoughts and memories/flashbacks are in Italic while actual dialogue is in bold italic.  Um...for the first time I included lyrics...it might be because I was listening to Saving My Face by KT Tunstall on my iPod while writing this so....bear with me?  lol.  Okay here we go.
DISCLAIMER:  I don't own Alex Russo or Sonny Munroe.  It's not legal.  I could be sued by disney.  I don't need that shit.

Hands clenched almost painfully at the wrist of a shocked Alex Russo.  She stared at the hand's owner in disbelief, confusion written all over her face.  Alex's confusion only grew as her eyes met a calm blank expression while her legs quickened their pace to match Sonny's.

She let out a startled noise as they suddenly turned the corner sharply, her feet clamoring to meet the unbelievably quick pace.  The cry met absolute silence.  The only noise that was heard was the quick shuffling of feet, one poised and determined, the other neither graceful nor determined.

Her mouth struggled to let out anything else.  She felt her brain insisting to let out a word, a sound, a garble.  Her mouth, however, stayed clamped shut.  Neither of the girls had spoken yet since they began their rushed trek back to their room.  She remembered the last words Sonny had uttered, her eyes flashing as she had stared at the cafeteria worker.

"We have meatloaf-"

"Just these 2 bottles of water, please."

"Is that-"

"2 bottles of water."

"3 dollars and-"

A crumpled ten dollar bill was suddenly shoved into the woman's hands.  Grabbing both bottles, she shoved one into the hands of a wide-eyed Alex Russo.  "Have a nice-"

"Hold on.  Let me give you your change, young-"

Grabbing Alex's wrist, Sonny mumbled distractedly, "It's fine, m'a-"

"Just give me a sec-"

Quickly whirling around, flashing orbs met the woman's disgruntled face, staring as blue eyes widened slightly.  "Just keep it," Sonny stated in a clipped tone.  "Have a nice day."

Holding the bottle tightly, Sonny whirled back around before making her way out of the cafeteria determinedly, tugging a confused and taken aback Alex Russo along.  "Come on, " Sonny said, her eyes glancing back before quickly flicking forward again.

Another sharp turn quickly brought her back to the present.  Stumbling over the floor that seemed to run away from her, Alex felt fingers grasping he wrist tighter, holding her upright before she would find herself tumbling to the ground.

And then it was tugging once again.

The sound of a key harshly being inserted and terned echoed through the wing.  The door flew open as the dark haired girl tugged Alex into the room before kicking the door closed, her eyes never grazing the dark wood features behind her.  Sonny's hand finally released its tight grasp, letting the other girl's wrist free.

"Sit," she commanded.

Confused and still shocked, Alex quickly sat down on the soft plush bed, her eyes wide as she watched Sonny quickly grab the bottle of water in her hand.  Twisting the cap off, Sonny tossed the cap behind her as she thrust the bottle back.

"Drink."

Her mouth opened to reassure the girl in front of her, almost in a defensive manner.  "Sonny, i'm not five years-"

"Drink!" Sonny repeated, her eyes penetrating into Alex as she stared with a blank look on her face.

Alex jumped slightly before quickly began to inhale the contents of the water bottle.  Swallowing harshly, Alex moved the bottle away from her lips as she looked down, ony to look up startled at the feeling of the back of Sonny's hand on her forehead.

Eyes narrowed, Sonny bit the inside of her cheek before she spoke.  "You're still warm."

Feeling her eyebrows shoot up, Alex smirked at the girl standing in front of her.  "Well, we practically sprinted here."

"You weren't feeling well."

"I never said that."

"You were warm."

"We just came out of Harrison's torture chamber!"

"You were flushed in the locker room."

Her mouth suddenly clamped shut as her eyes darted elsewhere.

"You still look flushed."

She said nothing.

"Are you alright?"

Still looking down at her hands, Alex nodded quickly.  "I'm fine, Sonny."  She looked up at the scrutinizing girl.  "Really.  I'm okay.  Thanks though... for being worried-"

"I wasn't," came an expressionless reply.

Her face scrunching up in confusion, Alex continued to gaze at the girl.  "You pretty much dragged me here while power walkin-"

"You were beetred.   You were out of it.  I helped you out."

Scoffing, Alex stared at the girl in disbelief.  "Wanting to help might suggest-"

"People don't always do things to help cuz they're worried.  Sometimes, they just do it cuz they have to.  Because it's the right thing to do."

Suddenly feeling pangs of hurt and insult to her heart, Alex quickly stood up from Sonny's bed.  "Well thanks then," she stated, her voice slightly raised.  "Thanks for helping me out and not being worried.  Glad you thought it was the right thing to do."

Plastering on a bright smile, Alex stared at Sonny for another moment before brushing past her, making her way to her own bed.  Flopping down on it, Alex layed there as she grabbed the nearest magazine and flipped through it.  Alex forced herself to focus on the candid pictures they had snapped of Taylor Swift leaving Koi, her eyes burning a hole through them.  She barely heard the sound of a leather jacket being pulled off.  She barely heard the ruffling of clothes being pulled off and on.  She heard all too clearly the shuddering breath that escaped into the room.

"Wanting to help... doesn't mean you don't care."

Her eyes shot up as she quickly turned to the direction of the raspy voice.  Staring at her back, Alex slowly put down the magazine.  Another shuddering breath escaped into the air.

"Most people don't."

Turn around.

"Most people don't give a fuck about you."

Turn around...

"Most people hurt you."

Please.

"Most people help... without even caring for who you are."

Just turn around....

"They just do what they have to do.  They don't care about the person or that everything's out of place."

Sitting up, her eyes stayed trained on the back of Sonny's head, willing the girl to turn around.

"They just do what's expected of them in front of everyone else."

"Sonny..."

"They just do the 'right thing' and then leave you alone standing by the strength of your own."

Taking a deep breath, Sonny suddenly grabbed her headphones.  "So they leave.  After they help.  So what happens after?  It's left to you to do the right thing, really.  That's what most people do."

Swallowing harshly, Alex gazed at her roommate.  Tugging on her bed sheet, Alex looked down before finally speaking.  "So, you-"

Turning around, Sonny twirled her keychain before tossing it on the table near her bed.

"I don't want a dying roommate."

They are so cold....

"So I helped."

Like steel.

Shrugging her shoulders, Sonny flopped onto her bed, crossing her ankles as she rested her head against the wall.  Blinking at her, Alex continued to stare at the girl whose eyes fluttered close as she listened to the music streaming into her ears.

Clearing her throat, Alex stated quietly, "Dinner's soon.  Aren't you gonna-"

"Not really all that hungry."

"Oh...."

Feel like a big old stone
Standing by a strength of my own

Glancing over again, Alex stared at the girl who's music blasted into the room.  "So you aren't gonna-"

Sighing, Sonny opened her eyes to glance at Alex stoicly.  "No."

Everything's here, all out of place
Losing my memory, saving my face

Nodding her head, Alex slowly got up from her bed as she straightened out her uniform.  "I guess I'll see you later then..."

"We are roommates.  Bound to see eachother, Princess."

I'll be everything I need

Turning her head, she cosed her eyes yet again, her attention back on the music.  Standing awkwardly, Alex continued to stare at Sonny before turning towards the mirror across the room.  Absently wiping away the wrinkles in her uniform, Alex stared at Sonny, her anxiety heightening as the seconds wore on.  She continued staring as she picked up her own key, slowly making her way past Sonny's bed.

I'm all out of love, all out of faith

"Night, Sonny" Alex almost whispered, the strain in her voice almost tangible.

"Mhmm."

Reaching the door, Alex looked back at the dark haired girl, swallowing harshly.

Saving my face

She let out a sigh as she closed her eyes.  Turning slowly, Alex walked out, prompty shutting the door behind her.  She made her way down the wing alone, lost in teh sounds of falling footsteps and echoing words.

Most people hurt you.
