You'll Put Your Eye Out With That Thing

So, I tried to make all my interests on my LiveJournal Info page unique. And, with some well-placed adjectives, it was easy. The fact that others shared my interests didn't bother me. In fact, it confused me. I mean, I can understand having an interest in Venetian coutesans and Cadbury Eggs is one thing, but who else has an interest in "freshly-sharpened pencils?"

Funny you should ask.

See More Glass, a young...person from East Texas, is the only other person who shares this interest. Although, since I have changed my interest to specify EarthWrite pencils (they're green!), See More Glass and I no longer have anything in common. Although I must say, I also find Greek statue hair and the mighty mitochondria mighty interesting.

On a more normal note (ha!), I'm enjoying Denver. I am navigating the scary bus system. Yesterday an old man fought with the driver. I felt like I was in New York. School starts on Monday. The tradition still stands; I teach writing in the morning and take classes in the afternoon. Take THAT, Sam Eddington!

No, really. Take it. It's a kitty.

I'll be TAing for Understanding Communication. I'm excited. You know what's more exciting? I get to make a presentation for the class - a "lecturette," if you will - on plagiarism. I can tell the story about how one of my students plagiarized from another student in the same group!

Next stop: Bed, Bath and Beyond for some damn curtains.
