Ok, so I'm sitting here drinking some black tazo tea (Awake for those of you who consider yourself Tazo-aficionados), and I've been thinking.. WHOA.. I really like the internet. As I turned on my computer today and connected to the internet, I thought, Why would anyone have a personal computer and not the internet? I mean, what is the real purpose to that?! I've had computers before and not the internet, and it's not fun.
Then I began thinking about all of the years I've spent enjoying the internet and just how my love for the internet has changed over the past 8 years that I have enjoyed surfing the cyber highway.
When I got the internet in 6th grade.. the first thing I said to myself was, "Joshua, you are going to learn how to make websites." And I did. And I've been enjoying that hobby for 8 years now. Yay me and my will to learn something ON MY OWN. w00t.
... w00t? l33tsp34k if you will? it ownz j00. y35.
Goodness, so many things has this boy learned on the internet! I remember sometime years ago, I began reading
Spit On A Stranger. I've been reading that blog longer than I've ever had one. And I've had blogs.. many. Not one constant one, but I had my own websites for a long time, and then I started this one (on several non-successful attempts) but still going back to websites... meh. I just have this urge to be creative with my web design.. designing was always number one and whatever I wrote was number 2. So sometimes livejournal leaves me sadly disappointed.. but I like being in contact with mah friends. Mmm, friends.
So yea, I remember back to all the virtue.nu and envy.nu and bolt.com and angelfire and geocities and mycgiserver.com... so far back into the internet history does my mind span. I believe MySpace and Facebook to contribute greatly to my dismay.. I spend all my interneting time on there and nowhere else. And that saddens me. Someday soon I may work up the courage to delete my myspace (which I hardly ever check), but until that time, maybe I should web design some more. Hey, yea.
Yea. I'll just do it... just... do it.
Yea...
