Frosty badgers.

Well, not exactly frosty badgers, but I liked the sound of the two words together!

I wonder if I am slowly losing my mind, spending all this time in a portacabin in mid-Wales...

Its very cold this morning - at least it means we have no water running off site! Snow warning for tomorrow so I think I will need to buy a shovel and pack a change of clothes for tomorrow in case I end up having to stop up here (shudder!) or i get stuck whilst trying to escape and have to dig myself our of somewhere! (My grandfather would be proud!) SO thats the frosty bit.

Found a badger sett yesterday - which was cool - bit close to where we'll be working for my liking, but distant enough to be legal (just!). Sad thing is the work involves removing a hedgeline which makes up one of their main foraging routes (evidenced by all the cute paw prints everywhere!) so mr and mrs badger are going to end up having to find new paths and stuff (hopefully they will use the tunnel under the road and not continue to cross at their current locations - but I know what my money would be on!). (And this is the badgers bit!)

We have drawn up a guest list!! 82 people ish! Eek! now its gets scary as we start working out how much various places will cost - I think a spreadsheet is needed! He actually phoned up and spoke to a venue at the weekend - I nearly fell over backwards! :)

Went for a walk from Pontypool to Goytre (kinda near Abergavenny - ish) last saturday - nice sunny day. It was really nice. Went along the canal, taking flask of coffee and rich tea biscuits - has to be done really! (well, it is February, and its not that warm!). Hoping to do another walk this weekend (trying to get my exercise level up in a more gentle way before I start running again!)

Anyhoo - best get doing some work. (well, I want to write one of my Chartership application essays, and I have a spreadsheet to build!)
