I love Palgrave and Willow.
Alright, so we showed friday in the 1.30m (4'3") class. It was alright. I had 2 really bad fences, didn't make a decision, which was fine over lower fences, but once you get up to the high fences, err not so much. So i really screwed up one of the fences horribly, lost both my stirrups,continued on and jumped 2 fences (4'3" oxers) without stirrups :P. had one of those down, the rest of the course was great.
Saturday.. ehh.. Well, it wasn't horrible. All of our fences were good, until we got to the natural object, and she dumped me.. god, i hate that. Then she ran around for a solid 5 minutes or so in the ring while people tried to catch her.. muahaha. one lady was like that is such a beautiful horse.. oh willow. Anyways, I was getting back on her, and she didn't stand, so brianne (my groom) jerked her in the mouth slightly, and she freaked out, and basically galloped away back to the barn. Yea, i love my horse. Anyways, then Roberto Teran later, when i'm on willow, is like "Hold on to your horse next time ok".. i'm thinking.. uhh Bitch Please, do you think I did that on purpose you tool? haha i can't stand him, and I never could anyways, so this gives me more reason not too.
Anyways, so then afterwards, i'm by my truck and my moms like We have some good news for you.. i'm like what what!? she's like I can't say. Anyways so were back at the barn and erynn comes up and is like so, willow is going to ship up to spruce around the 29th of may.. I look at my mom, i'm like gee mom, thanks for telling me. Erynn was like :O.. seriously, that was her face, it was hilarious Shes like I feel so bad for saying anything. So apparently i'm going to spruce meadows to compete for 2 weeks. Is that awesome or what?
ALSO... we're getting a 2nd jumper for me. Just for a lease this summer at least, and we've found one. Currently jumping 4'6", does everything, open waters, banks, i mean EVERYTHING. Were actually leasing him from Ian Millar, haha. It's awesome. However, the horse is in Ottawa right now, but Dave and Ian are trying to get it shipped to far field this week for me to try out. Dave feels pretty confident that we'll like it.. really, whats not to like, and its not like were buying it either, so just a lease for the summer. I'm so excited, like I can be doing the 5's soon, like REALLY soon. It sucks though that I don't think we can take it to spruce because we'll just have him, but I think Kevin will be around to ride the horses, so he'll be riding it at least.
SO basically, i'm pumped for spruce and this new horse, and the fact that willow was superb today. WHich i totally didn't even talk about. We had a great round, we screwed up, didn't make a decision to one fence, but everything was GREAT besides that, like every single distance was perfect. There was only one clear round, sydney vince, and it was a great, long course. we won $150, same as last week. So she redeemed herself from last week. Dear Roberto Teran, I can hold onto my horse quite well, thank you very much.
Anyways, thats it for now... AHH i'm so pumped its not even funny. And dave was so pleased with my round today too.
