Alright, so this past week was the first show of the season, and low and behold, despite mono, I was able to show.
For not riding for 2 weeks to the day, it went well. We did a class on wednesday, only 1.15m. But she was great. We only missed one of our distances, and it wasn't even that bad. We finished clean, and was 13th/70-80 rounds. So I was extremely pleased. Thursday I just flatted her, but we showed again Wednesday in the J/A 1.20 m (4'0") not bad for not riding for 2 weeks. haha. We had a rail, totally my fault, but she was jumping great. Saturday was our bad day. Well, I wouldn't call it bad, she was jumping great until we had to jump a natural object, a grob (a fence, thats kind of in a ditch). She wanted nothing to do with it, so we got disqualified. She made up for her tool like ways on Sunday, and in the classic we posted a clear round. Only 7 made it to the jump-off, our of 30. We finished 6th, we took 3 rails down in the jumpoff... not the best. One was in part b of a combo, her fault, another was after a short roll back to a skinny, more mine then hers, and the other was to this oxer, totally mine. Just didn't ride her great too it, had a crappy turn, leaning forward and everything. Not good. Lets consider that I haven't done a jump-off since mid August at Collingwood ;) So I was allowed to be a little rusty. Apparently a few people have come up to dave and asked if willow was for sale, which she is not.. but it's a nice compliment.

On Monday my mom and I went shopping at Sherway. That was fun, got some shirts for riding in and that. On tuesday I was back up to Bolton. We schooled willow over the grob. She stopped with martien the first time, but then she was great, she didn't even look at it when I got on her. Anyways, then today i went up to flat her. All the rings were a puddle, so everyone was just riding there horses on the grass. She was superb. We had an awesome counter canter, she was so collected, listening to everything. Not jumping much this winter has really paid off. She's just going great all around, and is so eager to jump. Even my eyes not working half-bad. My leg's getting stronger too, even just riding 6 days a week.

I love not having school. Things on the boy front are good. Gone out with him a few times, he's kissed me goodnight the past 2 times too.. hehe.
