Mech and BVP
So....my mechanics of materials teacher is an ass. And yes...I say it with out making the word out of funny symbols or using asteriks because there is no hideing the fact that he is one. We had a project due yesterday that counts for 15% of our grade. He never really went over the project in class, but we have the project assignment paper where it says "show any hand calculations". Nowhere does it say what equations he specifically wants- but we include all the ones we do calculate (by we I mean the entire class). The program we are using however does a ton more equation calculations because it is actually analysing our project. So we are all happy and have our project printed and ready to turn in. And he comes in and starts talking about and asking whether or not we put in such and such equation. (Totally pointless equations for the project by the way) And of course everyone is like "um- no...were we suppose to? Where did it say we needed that eqaution? Did you know about it? Did you put that in your report?" And what makes the guy and ass is that when we said this all he said was that of course we needed it, it was a simple calculation and why were we throwing a fit- just fix the report and turn it in by 5. And here is a great majority of the class going "wth? Why tell us the day the paper is due!!! By 5? WTH!!!" And of course he thinks he's being nice by giving us till 5--except that I had work right after class and practically everyone else had another class!!! So...I ended up scrawling the equation on the bottom of my paper and turning in it. *fumes*
But karma seems to be evening it all out for me today. Been working on homework all morning- finished my last Mech homework for the semester-woot! I have also started my last BVP homework. Out of 5 problems I have solved (completely) 3 of them. Now...a number of you may not be aware, but BVP is hell. It is hell on earth and it has been slowly torturing me for the last 2 months or so. The fact that I have completely solved 3 problems without difficulty is like...well, hell freezing over. It is amazing and I am so very excited about it. Now...the last 2 are from a different chapter entirely and thus may possible resume the torture...but for now, I am blissful.
