But my point is I can't think of a time when biological fathers are shown sympathetically. There are countless father figures, but real fathers aren't shown in a good light.

Those episodes were awesome! It was the first time I realized how FUNNY David could be, aside from his 'special' form of dancing :D

AND IT'S WHEN WE MET FRED!!! Fred is just...pure and utter LOVE and her addition to the cast is what really made me love Angel as a series, even though the later seasons have some issues :D

I know!!! I never thought he could be funny before the dancing and those food scenes in I Will Remember Me. Because omg chocolate :D Happy!Angel is the best :D

Fred... I'm not feeling the awesome yet (mostly because I'm a total power woman addict) but I'm sure I will. I got chills when she lead Demon!Angel away with blood on her hand, so that's a good sign.

But Amy Acker will always be Claire Saunders to me (God she was so incredible in that part! And just any part, really) :D

WHAT?! These are some of the best episodes ever. They're just so awesome! I mean, yeah, maybe it's kinda silly, but if you think of what's going on in Buffy at that point they couldn't have a serious dark plotline, because Buffy's would totally have overshadowed it. And S2 has a really really dark tone, so I love this ending for it :D

And as epic as season 2 was (although I don't like mid-season as much since I like Angel with the team, not angsting alone, lol), season 3 is a lot more epic, and season 4 even more so! ;). Season 4 ATS puts the SPN and BTVS apocalypses to shame, shows them how it's really done! :p

Spoilers much!!!! Mind you, I hoped that wouldn't happen. When they were both looking at her for the first time I thought "that bitch ruins the bromance and I will... you know, not do anything but I won't be happy!" Seriously. This fully formed thought. And suddenly I got a glimpse of why the SPN fans hate every woman that is a potential LI for the boys...
But I got over it.

Me too! I do like dark Angely stuff but he was such a bastard that I stopped liking him for a bit. He redeemed himself with the Cordy redemption stuff though (catching her, buying her clothes and food etc). A S4 gets a lot of hate, as does S5... I'm glad someone likes it :D
