Omg I have not been on here for SO FUCKING LONG!! Sorry! Yes, Tumblr has been the fiend to tempt me away from revision. But now my exams are over so I'm heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere! Also, I'll be continuing my fic soon :) Although FFS GLEE STOLE MY IDEA FOR THE END a;skjdfha;skdjfhalsjdf
Anyway...
What's new with me? Well I'm still obsessed with South Park but my current OTP has got to be Gregory/Christophe. Also, I've updated my head!canon. I have so much now.
There's the high school canon which is when Bunny and Stylendy happens (btw if any of you have plot ideas for the latter that would be greatly appreciated :S) and also Creek. (But because
razpberry's canon is so good I've pretty much adopted it as mine too :P) Then there's the uni canon (oh sorry university) which is a mess atm. It was my Wendy-as-slayer fic, and I still love that plot because it has a lot about Kenny in it and I like my canon for that. But the whole slayer thing doesn't really work. Problem is though, the whole thing doesn't work unless she's some kind of action hero... hmmm.... Something to tackle over the summer methinks. Then it goes on the real life canon when they're grown up. And that's my Gregstophe canon. But I shove Wendy in there too (BECAUSE I LOVE HER AND SHE AND GREGORY WERE CANON ALKSDJHF). This is partly a consequence of Stylendy because I figure Wendy could never truly be happy if there were 3 in a relationship together. So there's a steamy affair with Gregory (but LOL he really loves Christophe. Poor Wendy! She's such a fag hag :D) I'm developing my plot for this now because I'd really like to write it. But
razpberry wrote a Gregstophe drabble t'other day and is hinting about a longer fic and I'm like ;'A;KSJDHFA;SKDJFHA;SKDJFHA;KSDJFHALSKDJHF NEED IT NOOOOOW!
But enough about that! My Trey Parker obsession has grown too.
I watched Baseketball t'other day and that was epic :D Silly, but it reminded me of Airplane and it was cute and fun. Plus, for those of you who haven't watched Orgazmo WATCH IT (YES I'M LOOKING AT YOU ERICA). You really have no excuse not to. Oh and OMFG LA RESISTANCE! This song is just... Masterpiece. A fucking masterpiece of song writing. *needs Trey Parker in her pants now kthnxbi* Also this line from I'm Super makes me want him even more: "Big Gay Al says DO ASK DO TELL!" :D
OTHER STUFF!
I'm onto S4 of Chuck and it's getting a tad weak :O I mean, it's still amazing because it's really a cut above the rest but the latest episodes I watched (I'm about halfway through the season) were just a bit meh. Loving Linda Hamilton though :D The sci fi references just never stop with this show and I love it :D
COMMUNITY - learnt a VERY IMPORTANT FACT the other day: Allison Brie and Danny Pudi ship Annie/Abed! And they've been slipping in shippy hints the entire season 2 (when they could get away with it) like having them link arms, sit together etc. :D:D:D:D:D
Ummm.... DNA! I promised I'd tell you about the awesome character I play and her relationship with Phil so HERE IT IS!!
LOL while I was writing this I buggered off to Tumblr for 40 minutes. Whoops! Continuing now...
So Lea! I was seriously typecast for this, I swear. She has 50% of all the dialogue of the ENTIRE PLAY - 5 monologues, 2 long scenes, a major freakout at the end and a little bit more. a;skjdfa;sd
The play is about a group of kids who bully another kid to death and how they try to deal with the consequences. Lea is sort of the odd one out of the group. She talks way too much and is only close to one boy: Phil, who is also the leader.
Now here's our interpretation. When I first saw the play (when it premiered at the National Theatre) I got the impression that they were just friends (though she was obviously in love with him). But in our version it's a little more complicated. Ostensibly, they're boyfriend and girlfriend (for the record they're both 16). She's completely in love with him while he just sort of ignores her. But they have an odd co-dependent relationship and he actually needs her a lot more than he realises. She's like his connection to the moral part of himself, his connection to his emotions. She completes him, basically. But he doesn't really get this.
In our canon, Lea used to be a confident girl. Phil never used to talk much but there was a comfortableness about their relationship. They kissed once (sober) and had sex once (slightly drunk). After that everything went downhill. Phil retreated into himself even more leaving Lea an emotional mess. She has no idea whether he likes her or not, why he's suddenly silent, why he won't talk about or even appear to know about what happened... It's torture for her basically. And he just wants things to stay as they are so he doesn't say anything. Also he's pretty oblivious to the depth of her feelings and confusions and tbh he doesn't care. He's a bit of a sadistic bastard.
So this is when the play starts. Lea's chatting constantly, trying to provoke a reaction from him and he just sits there. She both pretends to kill herself (though they both know she's faking) and threatens to leave in the play while he ignores her. Their relationship is so wonderfully twisted :D He doesn't seem to have any respect for her but I think he does have a fond love for her. He never shows it though, maybe because he feels he doesn't have to. So the play progresses and things get more and more out of hand. Phil takes control, eventually committing a murder (or ordering someone else, a friend who went insane, to commit it for him). Lea of course is completely against this. At the end she screams at him, finally breaking under the pressure of the last week and the frustration of her relationship with him (this scene is completely imrpovised and OH MY GOD is it hard).
The next scene is so beautiful. Lea's sitting crying and Phil comes up to her. Throughout the play he's always been snacking on something, never offering any to her. He offers her a polo. She takes it, completely shocked. He puts his arm around her. This is the only comfort he's ever shown her. She flinches, throws him off, stands. She goes to say something but can't. Then she leaves. Phil calls her name after her. (Beautiful role reversal as whenever they're alone onstage together he hasn't said a word to her.)
The last scene is Phil on the hill he and Lea used to sit on. Richard, one of their friends, comes and talks to him (doing a monologue similar to Lea's). It turns out Lea has left for good and Phil has been on the hill ever since, refusing to come down, refusing to talk.
So basically she leaves and he can't carry on without her.
OMG I LOVE THIS PLAY SO MUCH ;AJKSHFDAKSJDHF
Ok! So that's mah post :D And now uni's over I should be on here a lot more. I'll complete my 30 women meme, do more fic, just generally be a better flister! If there's time tonight I'll try and pop around your journals too cos omg I've been ignoring you all :(((((((
