I'm really enjoying Great Expectations, It's way better than I thought it would be. And I forgot how much I love Dickens - his writing style is so crafted and brilliant, and I adore his sharp humour that he works in. If you read closely, there's this ironic humour worked into every sentence. Oliver Twist has this in spades, but I knew the story too well for me to enjoy the book. I'll read it again in a couple of years, once the story's faded a little.
I was last reading it when we did it as a play, in a collection of stories that have been butchered by modern day interpretations. Along with Oliver Twist we also did the real version of The Little Mermaid, and 1984 (as a protest against Big Brother, as in the English reality TV show). The collection was called Twisted Tales and it was bloody awesome :D
But I digest. Basically, Dickens rules. Also, I watched Pip, as in the South Park Great Expectations episode. LOL. This has got to be one of my faves. It's just so brilliant! I really wish they'd kept Pip in, because they actually portray his character really well. But he pretty much fades out (so Butters can have the spotlight, IMO) after S4 which is such a shame. Doesn't matter though. Just means he and Damien are falling in love :P
Ok! Off to have my lunch! And totally tidy my room and do work today. I WILL DO IT! If you see me on here again, feel free to slap me. :D

PS: yesterday evening we decided to play outside and we invented a game called Hide-and-Seek Dodgeball Base (patent pending). It's excellent. Also, I climbed a tree and got stuck. I nearly broke my arm getting down. It seems that falling out of a tree at the tender age of 7 hasn't dissuaded me from climbing trees, but rather made me terrified of getting down. I'm seriously. Every time I climb a tree I get stuck. Does this stop me? Hell no! :D
