Fashion Industry rant

You women put up with way too much from the clothing designers/manufacturers and their sizing differences, you should boycott women's clothes until the industry gets a clue. I will use the following two examples to support my statement:
Men's pants: "I have a 38 inch waist, according to this 25' tape measure, and my 'inseam' (crotch to ankle) is ( Read more... )

12 pairs... as in twelve... a one followed by a two.... that is not "fun," that is "torture." Having to strip down to my tightie-whities in a semi-public place only once per shopping trip is bordering on being a grievous insult to my masculinity, as well as my personal sense of "please don't arrest me for possible indecent exposure if I forget I'm not in my own home and start walking around in my underwear"... Twice? I'd need to spend some serious time in sporting goods contemplating my desire to appropriate some of the hunting supplies, finding and "fixing" the problem, thinking better of it at the last minute, and finally going about the perusal of the various and sundry purchasable items I went into the store to pick up in the first place.

Another quandary that comes to mind is that most of such stores have a "no shoes, no shirt, no service" policy posted somewhere near the main entry door(s) is rather telling, because in order to try on the shoes they sell, you must first leave the store with the un-purchased merchandise, thus committing a crime where local or state police are expected to become involved. The same goes for trying shirts on when necessary, and for the women, dresses or blouses. If such rules are not meant to be followed, they must not be posted, or there must be a posting in the area where you are allowed to remove either shoes or shirts (or both) while still having the capability of receiving service within those areas under those conditions....... otherwise the posting of "no shoplifting" need not be obeyed, and the store is subject to lawsuits from those stupid enough to try lifting the entire building and winding up in the hospital due to heavy-lifting-related injuries.

To me, it seems as though it is now 2:00 a.m. so please forgive me if my tangents make no sense.....
