Auron had never seen anyone as regal and dignified in his years spent as a monk in service to the Bevelle temple, but this summoner… he knew this summoner was different.
He watched the summoner emerge, fresh from the cloistered trails robed in pale purples and deep magentas, his elaborate headdress adorned with symbols of Yevon, clasp in his hand while he leaned very miniscule on his towering staff. From his vantage point, Auron could clearly see the sweat beaded on his brow, his light brunette hair damp.
A temple priest ascended the stairs to meet with the summoner, a brief conversation, before the priest announced in a exuberant voice, “An apprentice has become a full fledged summoner on this day!”
Auron watched, entranced by the summoner, who straightened his posture, a smile curling his lips.
Priests and Yevon worshipers flocked to the base of the stairs, celebrating in the birth of a summoner, who everyone hoped would bring the Calm to Spira. Standing tall and, if at possible, more regal than when he’d stepped from the trails only moderately exhausted.
Auron could think of nothing else other than the bright blue eyes that surveyed the temple and those congregated to be near him.
“Summoner Braska!”
“Lord Braska!”
“He will bring the calm!”
The chants continued, only making Auron’s resolve that much more founded.
One day, he wished to be that summoner’s guardian, no, he prayer he would be.
It was just an innermost pull that Auron could not seem to understand. As if fate was telling him his path.
One day…
