Sounds like a lot of the crappy, overpriced restaurants in the States. :P They charge you gourmet prices, but use crap ingredients.

yeah indeed, we have tons of those here and they keep growing.

Unfortunately, there's no escape from this. If you want Italian food, you have to come to Italy. Or purchase an Italian cook. Me.
