I'm done at Lone Oak, now. Now and forever. On the last day, I wanted to rip off the apron, throw it on the floor, and make a scene about quitting. I would have gone down in Oak history. But I didn't. Doesn't everyone want to do that at least once?
Oh, and, FYI? Ginger ice cream. Least popular flavor - most devout and loyal followers. When we ran out... Christ, I might as well have told one woman I ran over her cat. First disbelief, then anger, then mourning. And I don't care where you drove from, we're still out of the damn ice cream.
Man is my freezer full of ice cream, though.
Went to the CT Faire last weekend (weekend before?) and had a nice time. Visiting with Dan, Lynda, and Cathy was better than the fair itself. And Roderick! He's such a talented guy.
Check out his website! But, anyway, tried out a new outfit, one that I made in a day or two for the faire. Wore a corset for the first time for mostly the entire day. Ow. I found it didn't really hurt so much as persistently ache. I wish I had taken a picture. All the more reason to get dressed up again!
Speaking of, Cathy and I had a great discussion about opening up a web-based business. Costume commissioners. Bitchin'. This might become serious someday. If so, is there anyone I can commission to build me a website?
We've been working hard at the Music Hall doing Carmen this week, and I worked for the first time at the Whit. I love Union pay. Hah. At the Whit, we get paid $24/$36 per hour. I thank UND not for the theatre dept. but for the Fritz. All I really learned about touring theatre (and non-touring even!), I learned there. I should have put that in the evaluation Kathleen wanted me to fill out.
Jer is loving autumn here. I am too. The weather, the trees. We went up to camp and had a beautiful weekend up there. It'll be weird next year, after the renovation. It won't be just a little cabin anymore!
I love my parents. I'm glad we're such great friends.
That is all. Except for this hilarity:
For everyone who appreciates both musical theatre and X-Men. At once.
