"We should get some whiskey, we downed most of his the other night." She giggled. Then she slid across the seat, sliding her arms around his neck as she leaned in and kissed the spot behind his ear. "I love you, Mr. Hammel."

She waited till they got to the liquor store and parked, then she was practically flying out of the seat. She was giddy! Sliding out of the truck, she bounced over to her father's truck. "What kind of beer do you want, Daddy?"

When her dad walked in with a young blond, she smiled over at Jenny, "Hello there." She moved forward, offering her hand, "It's nice to meet you."
Then she paused, arching a brow, "Earth wedding?"

"S'awful nice t'meet a friend of Mr. del Mar," he said, still not convinced she weren't his girlfriend or something like that, although she did seem quite young..
Then he heard Jenny's declaration and Alma's echo and he paused a moment before offering a wry smile.
"You an alien or somethin', Jenny?"

His eyes widened at the exchange, but he tried to stay out of it, laughing a long with Mark a bit. "She ain't no alien."
He saw the cups on the table and poured some champagne for Jenny and, what the hell, some for himself.

But Ennis' reply to Mark's question snapped her out of her thoughts. She looked up sharply.
"Yes I am!"

"How's it that somethin'comes to be at th'end of th'universe?" Ennis asked, his voice very soft and uncertain.

"I've been told it's magic," Jenny answered with a touch of scorn in her voice, "but it's very clearly very good spaceship design."

"Please, daddy," he joked, award winning smile stretching his face.
"Y'know, Alma, I ain't sure yer supposed to ask an alien what she does." He shook his head in mock disapproval, handing Ennis his glass.

"Jen, can you excuse me?" She slipped out of her chair, grabbing the smokes as she moved around and opened the front door. Moving out into the grass, she lit a smoke and drew in a deep inhale.
