"We should get some whiskey, we downed most of his the other night." She giggled. Then she slid across the seat, sliding her arms around his neck as she leaned in and kissed the spot behind his ear. "I love you, Mr. Hammel."
God, she was getting a kick out of that.

She waited till they got to the liquor store and parked, then she was practically flying out of the seat. She was giddy! Sliding out of the truck, she bounced over to her father's truck. "What kind of beer do you want, Daddy?"

Mark beamed, dragging Alma into the store before Ennis could say another word (not that he would've).

Finding the beer first, she then went and looked for whiskey before meeting Mark at the counter. "Do we have everything?" Then she nudged him, "Smokes, we need smokes."

"We just got married," he said, a little jittery as he started digging for cash in his wallet.
The cashier rang them out quickly with a raise of his eyebrow, not seeming to care much about it.

"So where are we drinking?" She tilted her head, glancing between the men.

"I told a friend she could come, if tha's alright," he said, glancing at his shoes. "An' I reckon we could drink at th'trailer less ya got somethin' else in mind."

"Sounds good to me. Follow you out there?" She asked her dad even as she slid down into the passenger seat of Mark's car.

And with that, Ennis was gone.

"Thought you said he don't got a girlfriend?" he asked, shifting the car into gear and taking off towards Ennis' trailer. "You got keys or somethin'?"

Buckling herself in, she nodded, "I do, he gave me one awhile ago." Settling back, she brushed her fingers through her loose curls, "So are you happy we did it finally, baby?"
She just hoped he didn't regret eloping.

He pulled onto Ennis' road, leaving enough room for the man's pick-up before killing the engine and grabbing the champagne and beer.
