We decided that the den setup wasn't working for us, when I originally designated the first floor in-law suite as a den I bought a pull-out couch and I put Dad's new recliner in there that the poor guy only got to sit in once. Fast forward 6 years and the recliner hasn't held up very well (in fact I HATE the thing, I want to set it on fire!!) and neither has the sofa. Not happy. But it's a chance to for a re-do.
We decided we needed more seating, if we're gonna have a den then lets make it into a proper den. We placed an order for a huge assed sectional sofa, it's nice and fluffy and big and with lots of room for multiple people or for two lazy idiots (me and J) to lay down and well, be lazy. We're also going to get some pre-fab cabinets for a pseudo-built-in entertainment unit/bookcase along the other wall.
Can't freaking wait!
First step though is to put U/V blocking film on the windows before the slate grey sectional arrives, the sun has already faded the finish on the wood floors (don't get me started, in fact reminder to self to find out what sort of warranty was on these floors) so I need to cut that shit off now.
And we have to move the pull-out into J's game room so now that technically can be a guest room again when needed. Yay!
