After 12 years playing softball for Penguin, then 12 years coaching Christina and Austin, I've been playing softball the past couple of years for the
Writers House (literary agency) softball team. I pitch. Christina plays second. Austin plays outfield or infield, as needed. Christina's boyfriend plays outfield and relieves me on the mound. It's been a lot of fun. Usually, we're so busy playing, we don't get to do more than shoot some low-res vid clips for ourselves. But, at a game a couple of weeks back against McGraw-Hill, a very nice video reel was compiled. I share it here.

That final catch in right field? Made by a rookie player against the other team's pitcher, who came to the plate clearly intending to hit the ball to her for the purposes of driving in the winning runs. (Spoiler: he failed. But, I give him credit for giving her a high-five. I wish every team we played had that kind of sportsmanship.)
