Wowzers!
A massive thunderstorm just rolled through Manhattan. We went from temps near 100 to temps in the 70s in a matter of minutes. Hailstones the size of large marbles rained down outside my window. Visibility was down to about four feet from my window. Lightning was continuous.
As it has eased a little now, I can see a veritable waterfall pouring off the roof of the building opposite mine, with the wind blowing the flow so that it is hitting the sidewalk a full three doors away. There are also (I kid you not) small drifting flakes of snow passing my window now.
Simply amazing! (Say a prayer, please that neither my basement nor my roof leak in this storm.)
