Update...
Well, we got a new T.v. and a new Blu-Ray player as well as a new clothes dryer. We were going to get a new t.v. from one of the local rent-to-own places that my wife used before we got married, but they were asking way way too much for the t.v.s they had, so we went to Wal Mart and found one for a quarter of what they were asking for at the rental place. It's a Vizio 42" LCD HD t.v. and it's really nice. Not as big as our old one, but the picture is crystal clear. We brought it home and plugged it in and since our cable DVR machine had an hdmi output on it and the t.v. had two HDMI inputs on the back of it, I took a hdmi cable I already had and hooked it up and wow, the HD channels are amazing!!! Then we got a Sony Blu-Ray player as well and I have found we don't need a 3D player or t.v. because the blu-ray discs and HD channels already almost have a 3D effect to them.... I wouldn't get a 3D t.v. anyway until they make so where you're in the show like ST:TNG's Holodeck programs...lol.
