The people responsible for reprinting the caricatures of Mohammad after the Danish paper had withdrawn them with an apology should be fired and their careers blacklisted until they die of natural causes decades from now. White people piss me off too, I think anyone gets pissed off at anyone, no matter what their race or gender may be...now, as for the cartoon you are referring to, I'm drawing a blank...I'm not up to date on cartoons

I am totally gonna be blacklisted forever from your LJ for saying this, but I totally blame them for being insane most of the time. Religious fervor truly sickens me. It's not like Muslims are a minority in their part of the world. And I doubt that Muhammed cares what's said about him any more than Jesus does. They're dead. It's their follwers who are represented as beig violent in cartoons such as these. And it is fair to represent religious fanatics as violent; they areAs liberals in a country full of religious fanatics, we are the open-minded who live among the demented, and we should recognize dangerous religious fundamentalism when we see it. If I saw a political cartoon of Jesus carrying a big nuke on his back instead of a cross, I wouldn't be offended, I'd be laughing. I don't like Christians, nor do I like Muslims, and while I agree it's wrong to portray one religion in partiucular as being violent, it's not wrong to portray religion in and of itself as a horribly violent phenomenon.
